YouTube for Valentine's Day Greeting. Tuesday, February 19, 2008.

Blairstown, NJ - You know you want to post something on YouTube. As an interactive agency, we felt we HAD to. So, this year's B2B Valentine's Day message from Murray was a YouTube Video.
Says Dirk Herrmann, President of Murray, "Each year we have brought a custom Valentine's Day greeting to our clients it has met with great response. We like to push the envelope through this first quarter greeting, testing technology while having some fun."
Moment of truth... How did it go? Murray sent out 1300 email greetings with an average open rate of 42% and an admirable click rate of 37%. (Sadly, we also had a .6% unsubscribe).
Views on the video were 500 by February 19, and our Google Analytics report shows traffic to our Web site jumped most substantially on February 14.
We received at least 60 private email responses acknowledging our greeting and wishing us a Happy Valentine's Day in return.
Does this activity translate into revenue? Well, several B2B clients have already called asking if it can work for them too. We feel that it depends on your relationship with your customers and their preferences.
Murray customers are definitely interested in YouTube and what that marketing channel can do for them.
And, our kids think we are super rock stars for being on YouTube.
