With more and more marketing dollars diverted to 1-to-1 marketing because of increased direct channels beyond traditional direct marketing, and increased need for ROI measurement, CMO’s are asked, “What makes 1-to-1 marketing so unique?”
Dirk Herrmann, President of Murray, has been invited to join Argyle Executive Forum panel of Chief Marketing Officers in Chicago, IL on September 4, 2008 for an in depth discussion on 1-to-1 marketing: How we define 1-to-1 when there are so many ways to touch customers and conversely, when customers have many ways to contact us.
From 11am-12noon, the panel will tackle challenges faced by marketers: terminology, vendor relationships, timing, data sources, quality, international elements and regulations. The panel will discuss differences in measuring success and expectations. Response rate has evolved as we monitor open, click-through, shopping baskets and conversion rates. We’re tracking dollars by response, channel and mailing. Opinions are sure to be heated regarding the optimal allocation of marketing dollars, who will be the decision-makers, and over what duration. This event will explore the short- and long-term goals for CMO’s and how we stay on top today while investing for the future.
